- 팬들을 열광시킬 클래식 차량들이 대거 등장
- 발매 소식 공개를 기념하는 공식 트레일러 배포 개시

인트라게임즈(대표 배상찬)는 유비소프트(지사장 홍수정)와 협력하여 PlayStation®4, Xbox one용 레이싱 게임 “F1™ 2017”을 국내 정식 발매한다고 밝혔다.

“F1™ 2017”은 2017 FIA 포뮬러 원 월드 챔피언십™의 공식 비디오게임인 F1™ 2017을 발표했다. 이 시리즈에는 클래식 F1 차량들이 재등장하는 동시에 더 깊이가 있는 커리어 모드, 다수의 멀티플레이어 요소 강화 및 완전 새로운 ‘챔피언십’ 게임 모드가 포함된다.

게임의 개발사인 Codemasters는 발매 소식과 함께 Alin Prost와 Ayrton Senna가 운전하는 1988 맥라렌 MP4/4, Nigel Mansell과 Riccardo Patrese가 운전하는 1922 윌리엄스 FW14B, Rubens Barrichello와 Michael Schumacher가 운전하는 2002 페라리 F2002의 모습을 확인할 수 있는 트레일러를 배포(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuNYxtVoUs8)했다. 또한, 머지않아 더 많은 클래식 차량이 발표될 예정이다.

게임의 디렉터인 Paul Jeal은 ‘F1 2016은 높은 평가를 받아 성공적인 프랜차이즈로 거듭 났고, F1™ 2017을 통해서 F1 클래식 차량들을 다시 소개할 수 있게 되어 매우 기쁘게 생각합니다”, 이어서 “F1™ 2013에 등장해 폭발적인 호응을 이끌어냈던 클래식 차량이 F1™ 2017에서 다시 한 번 역대 최고의 모습을 선보일 것입니다. 위대한 차량들이 너무 많았기 때문에 12종을 선별하기까지 매우 힘들었으나, 30년의 역사를 통틀어 상징적인 차량들을 적절히 선별해냈다고 생각합니다.”

크리에이티브 디렉터 Lee Mather는 “F1™ 2017은 역대 최초로 메인 커리어 모드에서 클래식한 경험을 완벽하게 구현해냈습니다”, 이어서 “커리어 모드의 일부분으로 클래식 F1 차량에 탑승하여 다양한 이벤트에서 레이스를 펼칠 수 있게 됩니다. 또한, 4개의 다양한 서킷 레이아웃과 새로운 다수의 게임 플레이가 추가될 예정입니다. 클래식 차량들은 온라인 멀티플레이어 모드와 타임 트라이얼 등의 모드에서도 만나볼 수 있습니다.”

2017년 시즌은 이 스포츠 종목에도 많은 변화가 있었는데, 그 중에서도 파격적인 차량 디자인으로 눈을 즐겁게 만들어줬을 뿐만 아니라 성능 향상으로 인한 랩 기록 달성도 한 몫 했다. 또한, 이 시즌에서 열리는 레이스들에서 팬들을 더 흥분시킨 것은 대회 내 경쟁이 치열해졌기 때문인데, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport의 Lewis Hamilton과 Scuderia Ferrari의 Sebastian Vettel이 챔피언십에서 최고의 기량을 선보였고, Red Bull Racing의 Max Verstappen이 지속적으로 전세계의 팬들을 즐겁게 만들어줬기 때문이다.
